Hi we recently visited devon and when there we went to cobbaton combat museum where we bought a siamese bayonet [pictured], and a mortar drill round picture to follow as we are having problems uploading pics,a friend of my dad gave me the dagger pictured,it has fy appointment,wilkinson sword,made in england on the blade,can anyone tell me anything about these items cheers,mitch

Hi Fishinmick,the dagger looks to be a Sykes Fairbairn commando dagger as issued to british commandos,I am not sure about the bayonet other than the fact it looks like some type of Mauser bayonet,

The bayonet goes to a 1939 Turkish Mauser.

Hi the bayonet is a Siam(Thailand) 1902 bayonet,type 45 with round rivets(1908 type 51 had Jap style oval rivets).
The Thai script on the ricasso is RS 121,this indicates the 121st year of the Chakri dynasty,or 1902 in the Gregorian calander.
This bayonet was used on the 8mm Type 45 rifle,a Mauser action long rifle.
