this is the facade of the new museum building at the Tank Museum Bovington. The 'tower' is not in fact an ET lookalike but to enable control of the arena area on Tankfest days etc. Tanks are starting to be moved into the new building with a planned opening to the public during November. Also, an ex-Canadian Leopard 1 (105mm gun) about to be put through its paces in the arena (during the school half term and summer holidays they put on free Tanks In Action displays on Tuesdays & Thursdays). Unusally, and for a fee, you can be a passenger in 2 of the vehicles - 1 of which will be a main battle tank, involved in the Tanks in Action display.
