This is a 1950's abandoned early SAM missile http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MIM-3_Nike_Ajax#Deployment control site nestled on top of a large mountain about 30 miles away from New York City https://www.google.com/maps/d/viewer?mid=z639Rv4Yn-0o.kiUz7-Ypl9b0&hl=en. I found large concrete structures, some buildings and a large raised platform which might have been a radar installation. Anyone with a knowledge of this subject is welcome to contribute to this topic. The mountain overlooks Tappanzee Bridge which crosses the Hudson river. I took a couple of pictures trying to show the height of the mountain.
