Does anyone know how big No. 110 Percussion Caps are ? I have recently acquired a tin for the Northover Projector that would have held 250 according to the label, but it's now empty and not a very big tin.

No.110

The No.110 cap was only used in the Northover Projector and had a charge of 0.50 grns. It was made of coppered brass and had a diameter of .228 inches. I do not have a figure for the depth.

I knew somebody would want to know that one day!

Thanks for that Tony, learn something new everyday ! the tin is only approx 65mm across and 30mm deep, with a paper pasted label that reads : 250 No. 110 PERCUSSION CAPS for NORTHOVER PROJECTOR. The bottom of the tin has KYNOCH BIRMINGHAM stamped in the metal. Tony.
