I bought this today at a gunshow in Chantilly Virginia.My first Mills.It appears to have the original finish.Everything except the filler plug.The body is stamped RBD as well as the base.Anybody know where I can find a filler plug?

Real fillers are hard to come by but these guys sell repro ones www.dugup.co.uk and there always listed on ebay UK from other sellers,,,,, Dave

A nice find anywhere, with original paintwork and a nice patina. I wonder how it crossed the Pacific? A GI bring-back in 1945 I would suspect, but can't think where US and Australian forces might have met up.

US and Australian forces fought alongside in many places throughout the South Pacific in WW2, and many US forces were based in Australia.
