Anyway, one for the fuze collector, a number 49.

Filling date and Lot number were impressed on the fuze body, not on the safety cap. The No.44 image below illustrates:

Thanks for reply, if you find yourself in contact with the new owner, could you ask if he/ she would post some pictures of the fuze minus cap please. If you took the photos that I have seen, you did a great job of that, they are so close and so clear, 10 out of 10 for that. If all pictures were like yours there would be need for only half the questions asked. Many thanks, TED, NZ.

Thanks, collector for the pictures of the No 44 fuze and cap, only problem there is the picture request was for pictures of the Fuze No 49, minus its cap. Good detailed shots though, thanks again.
