No.5 Mk I Tail Pistol

Hi,
I just received this in the mail.
It's stamped with an upwards facing arrow and M.M.LTD No5 Mk I 5/18.
It also has 42 stamped into the left hand side of the propeller. I would appreciate it if any members could share some information or diagrams on this piece.
