Here is an Australian No 63 Smoke Grenade Mk1 by CPP (Colton, Palmer & Preston in Adelaide, SA.
Not scarce as lots of unfilled bodies exist but you seldom see a loaded grenade with the sealant on the top plate and the 2 discs over the holes.
Lid is stamped 11/40 but the grenade was loaded by ME in 11/44. 1lb 5oz without lid. 1lb 5.8oz with lid. Same weight as a MK 1Z ? but not marked Z.

Body stencilled. GRENADE RIFLE No 63 SMOKE 1. ME 11/44. LOT 864
