NO19 British Grenade

Hi all, I have a really nice example of a British no19 grenade, but unfortunatly it is missing the end cap and the striker. Also the original streamers have gone from the end. Has anyone any ideas where i could fine replacements... original or repro?? Thank you!

The streamers are made of 1 1/2" linen bias binding as used in tailoring & upholstery . The modern types are identical to the stuff from the early 1900's . You should be able to find it online or from a local supplier . Hope this helps.

Hi bud,
there is a very informative thead on the forum about making all the parts you require for a No 19 gren. Try searching and you will find it. The linen Mike suggests is readily available although i think the weave is very slightly different, Tom would confirm this.
Any chance of a piccy?

Andy
