Sorry if this has been asked before but what do the initials D.L.R. stand for on the bottom of my no69 grenade...Ill try and get some pictures up as well as it has some odd looking internals....
Thanks for the help folks.Heres some pics of the internals I was talking about.Could the be for weighting it for training purposes?There are traces of white paint on my grenade.
I did approach them many years ago ( maybe 30 years!) and they could not locate any technical information from WW2 on the No 69 Grenade but I was put in touch with an old gentleman who worked the tooling for the grenade component mouldings. Regrettably no prototypes emerged from the encounter but we drank plenty of tea.
