The closing plate in the base if that is the correct term has 80 on it followed by the Mm No. in roman numerals, cant quite read it.

Edward,

All brass and 1917 - it's a Mk VII.

The central steel needle that punctures the time or percussion pellets has either rusted out or has been removed.

I don't know who E.A.& F.Co is either, but I'm fairly sure TimG will know.

Has been polished, but pretty good value for 10.

Now you need a nice 18 Pdr shrapnel shell to put it on!

Cheers,

Graeme
