Nr4

Does anyone have the M28 version of this that the U.S. used? Also, are there any other images out there on this item? I am looking for the LOT CODE, shipping containers, anything interesting.

Joe,

This is an image of an NR4 instructional (sectioned) grenade. The 'Energa' was used in British service, are you interested in the packing etc for British contracts?

Yeah ...

I think it would be fun to add to the thread. In one book I saw the British had a No. 94 series designation to them?

Joe,

Here is a photo of the U.S. issued T41E1/M28 version mounted on one of my display boards.

Hello,

The 60mm mortar M49 with rifle-grenade tail is it a regular ordnance ?

Yes, it was an authorized field expedient assembly that was only to be used in emergency conditions.

Joe as promised a few images of the packing of No 94 Grenades. You will find a brief history of the No 94 Energa Grenade in British Service in the downloads section entitled HISTORICAL NOTE - ENERGA GRENADE

Interesting they used that same symbol for the LOT CODE on the packaging ... very cool.

Does anyone know if the U.S. produced these grenades, or did we just get them from Belgium?
