Going thriugh some old slides & came across this, a good number of you will have seen it at Lodge Hill. To stand it on it's nose we had to weld a 6' x 4" solid round bar (Making it look like a dart) this was set into a 4' dia x 5' deep pre made concrete base foundation. Then the whole thing was lifted in place bay a Coles Bridging crane, the tail unit fitted , note the cowling between the tail and Bomb is not yet fitted. We had some fun constructing this and if any one was part of the team of 6 that did this drop me a line . hope it's of interest ( Total Ht 22' 9") Big Bugger.
