One Inch Case?

Hello
I have this weird (at least to me) one inch case, with a tin-plate hollow cap/plug?
I don't know what it is and I will be very grateful if someone could positively ID this piece.
TIA

It is a Czech flare case, correct case length and round cap, possibly a white signal? I have never found one of these.

Czech White signal 26.5mm.
I assume also used by German (captured) in France during ww2 as I found these cartridges (marked 1937).
Maybe model 1936, no doc. I only found a picture with markings on the box, so could be model 36 (vz.36). Picture 1
A previous model was used (model 1923 - vz 23) but with a longer case. Picture 2
