Does anyone have details of British free flying sabotage and propaganda balloons used against Germany in WW2? I saw at a local discussion board here copies of reports from July 1943 telling that a couple of them had entered to Finland as well. According to reports there was a special design incendiary bottle/bomb in use.

Thanks Tony,
That clarifies it all. The mentioned reports describe more or less the same in words. Amazing that despite of the timing system quite a few balloons flew all the way to Finland and unexploded loads were recovered as well.
