Original Paint --- Not !

I tested one of these with paint remover. The newer varnish should have come off and if I wiped quickly the original army green should have remained almost untouched. Not so , it all dissolved instantly. So do I leave it alone, the easy thing to do. Or is there a genius that can repaint and stencil to perfection - I know my limits, not for me to do this. :tinysmile_cry_t2:

This is the only projectile I am likely to have this problem with, everything else is older and yellow which seem to be much easier to find.
