Hello together,
I want to introduce a rare experimental proximity nose bomb fuze, which was developed 1942/43 in the US.
The nomenclature of this fuze was given by the BELL TELEPHONE LABORATORIES, where the development was carried out. The fuze was intended to be used for air-to-air bombing. The project was abandoned because of the lower priority given later in WW II to air-to-air weapons. The fuze body is made of brass and coated steel with a bakelite top ogive.

Steve,
I don't have exact numbers, but surely not more than a couple of hundreds.
