parachute retarded munition (naval mine looking) in Syria

has anyone else seen the YoutTube vids of what looks like a medium size surface contact naval mine with a small drag chute reportedly being dropped in Syria? I'll try to find the link and post it, but thought it was worth asking

The chute is extremely small. Also I see no anchor system. In deed it would be interetsing to find out more.

I wonder if the color of the chute would serve the intended purpose of a mine which should remain undiscovered. Just a thought.

Dave.

The government must be running out of munitions and are resorting to deploying anything else they have.

it also appears to be too small for a naval mine - would have tought something about it would have soon up by now

"OLord, bless this Thy hand grenade, that with it Thou mayest blow Thine enemiesto tiny bits, inThy mercy."

Dave, the captions they put are usually not made bey their ammo specialists I guess. (same as in our media)

It could be russian. Exept for sea mines the russians have a range of lake and river mines.
