super items love to see in that condition, i will most likely be corrected here but from my experience the stars on the top box right possibly means its been modified

I've cleaned these up somewhat, removing as much of later paint
spillage as I could (pink) . Where the wood was splintered out when the screws were removed
I haven't infilled but just darkened the area. So now at least the damage doesn't stand out.
Next if I can is to find some screws and fill those holes. I've tried to do the least possible with the best effect.
If some one has drawings or can make templates of the internal parts I would try to restore those too.

This is my box I will have to dig it out of storage and take some measurements for you later this week.
Cheers

Here is a box for the Mark V11** Pistol, sadly lacking handles and the support dividers that Andy's box shows. Millsbomber is correct in that the stars indicate modification of the original Mark. I think AM indicates Austin Motor Co, I have a Mk 20, Mod 7, by them, but this packaging - last inspected in May 1984 - is a rectangular metal box containing the Pistol and its cylindrical ready for use metal tube as one complete item.
If anyone has a spare Mark V11 Pistol for disposal, I'd be glad to hear from them!

Thanks, it looks to be quite possible to replicate the insides. I just discovered one original screw in place. No wonder these are driven in so far,
they barely go though enough to hold anything in place. I've ordered a box of them (100 !) No 6 x 3/4" slotted. They are coated so a dip in muriatic will
remove that prior to using and painting the heads.
