I've got this big shell case
Probably Russian

It's 730mm long
The diameter at the top is approximately 115mm
The diameter at the rim is approximately 171mm

Please help! Thanks in advance!!

The above pictured shellcase looks like it is made of brass. All shellcases of this type, I have seen, were steel with that most interesting silvery-gray coloured metallic anti-corrosion surface treatment that is used with a lots of russian steel items. I still don't know for shure what this plating is. Cadmium ? The brass case must be a very early one.
