Am attempting, over the Christmas period, to bring some sort of order to the untidy heap that passes as my collection of ordnance items, and this was retrieved from the depths of a dusty cupboard.
It appears to be a perfectly ordinary case shot, dimensions (approximately) 400mm overall, calibre 57mm, and sadly lacking its shot or other shell contents, and the headstamp is an enigmatic EP, with a (?) date of 98 and a star beneath that. Why do I get the impression that it is French or Belgian manufacture?![DSCN1069[1].JPG DSCN1069[1].JPG](https://www.bocn.co.uk/data/attachments/183/183394-5c7c5250b1ad0bebff614d4e22a0b6b3.jpg)

Can anyone help, pse.
