Positive ID needed airdropped ...

I have had these images sent to me to try and get a positive id plus if possible an image of the complete item/sectioned drawing

images i have been sent ..



I have seen one of these before but cannot remember what it was
Old photos from my files of same type ...

Has some of the features of the old style Sonorbuoy/transmitter,the diameter looks about right.
Maybe the outer case has broken or decayed away?

the first one with the images sent to me was found inland on a training area in Germany
the other also found inland on a training area in the UK

looks a lot like the reconnaisance bomb 8" No 2 Mk 2
