Post IIWW P-38 holster

I have a post IIWW P-38 (I think it is French). I got this holster because it was matching the time frame for my pistol. The stamp in the back reads "8440-12-120-3139 Ta.F Pist.38.Kal.9mm(W) F&B 3-67". I know that the long number is a NATO part number. And I think "W" may be West Germany. Can someone explain the rest? I don't know if French ones have their own holsters. This is the closest I can find easily. Grateful aforehand.

The holster is from the german army. The 12 in the NSN stands for germany.
F&B is the manufacturer and 3/67 is the lot number and year.
The "W" stands for Walther.

Although almost identical to the P38, this holster was made for the Walther P1, which was the issue pistol of the German army after the war, until it's replacement by the P8 (USP-9).
