Project - small German WW1 petard

This is a pic of an unreasonable facsimile of a German WW1 petard grenade I made when I had an ass full of beer in me. The dimensions are very close as I compared to a photo next to it that I knew the correct size of, so I scaled it off that. I want to take it apart, strip the handle and "afge stain the handle. I have already found a tobacco tin of the correct dimension. So I plan to age stain the handle, use the correct rusty v v bailing wire and properly rust the can and re-do the whole works. Will be done and recorded in steps. What I hope to end up with is a reasonable WW1 German small petard as a filler (geez like i'll ever find an original) and that is the plan. Will do step by step and hopefully I end up with something that won't make you puke when you look at it....Dano
