Interestingly enough. I brought this from a guy who I also brought a gau-8 shell from.. or that's what thought. As I believe it is a RARDEN round now. Could it be from that ?
I don't know about the projectile in your first photo, but your last photo is of the base of a RARDEN case. AFV is short for `Armoured Fighting Vehicle' and the L17 primer is correct for that case.
