I'm guessing you mean US. Army, Navy, or both. For Army, the color plates in the front of the TM 9-1900 Ammunition General 1945 for ammo dated 1942 to at least 1955:

I have Volume 1, OP 1666 (11 June 1946). Covers German Explosive Ordnance (bombs, fuzes, rockets, land mines, grenades & igniters). No projectiles, tho. Maybe that's in Vol. 2.
