projectile colour

I know it has been discussed before, but I cannot find any info back on this subject: what RAL colour approaches the yellow of british ww2 shells most? It's for a 3,7 inch HE AAA shell

The correct colour is BS381C 359 Middle Buff and the closest RAL colour is 1024. It should be flat not gloss.

Thank you very much sir, I just ordered two spay cans. Semi gloss however as flat is not available. I'll just have to spray a layer transparant matt varnish over it when ready.
