Can someone provide an ID on this projectile please.
I don't have much information and wasn't able to measure it, however i'm told it is 12cm in diameter.

The hole in the side was made during the RSP.

Also, are you 100% sure on it being shrapnel as i was told it had a gas fill when it was found.

the designation should be 12 cm M.12/12b Schrapnell but I am not sure. Yes it is a shrapnel for sure. It has a black powder base charge. The construction of austrian chemical shells is much different from a shrapnel.

No luck, this shell has no designation in the Italian museum "Museo della Guerra Bianca in Adamello"
