Thought the following illustrations would be of interest to those of you who are into engineering.
They are from "Manufacture Of Artillery Ammunition" a 1917 document which shows all of the stages of projectile production made by American and Canadian ordnance manufacturers for overseas clients (war aid)

shell manufacture

Excellent drawings, thanks for super posting, dont think I'll try anything bigger than 3in on my lathe, strained the last one and me doing a 4.7in band.
