Hello,

I have this French shell which measures 88cm tall, which is an usual length.

Does anybody know where this type of shell was used for.
What is the meaning of the letter 'L' after A.PX. and before 02 ?

Also does anybody know the meaning of the small symbol?

Thanks,

Hi
I know this case but 820 mm not 880 mm and used on 100 mm French marine Gun QF

Hi,

this case seems to exist in (at least) two length: I have both the 820mm as the 880mm. Would you know why they also created a 880mm version ? Do you know what the letter 'L' means (see photo, between the letters 'APX' and the '02'). Many thanks in advance.
