Greetings...sorry, i cannot tell you the meaning of "L7".
But i have a question for you.....
What is the rim diameter of the 70x118R case?
I have a listing 70x135R (rim 82mm) for a Schneider mountain gun. This one is new to me.
Thanks very much
Charley

Hello Charley777,

Perhaps you can also help me with the following. I have 2 French shells which have the same rim diameter 123mm.

1. The below shell measures 100x820mm.

2. The other shell is 100x880mm.

Questions:
a. Do you know why one of the shells is 6cm longer?
b. Do you know where/how these shells were used?
c. Do you know the meaning of the 'flower' symbol?

Many thanks,

Jf
