I bought this box yesterday in France. I assume that from the dates on it, made 1938 and filled 1939 this was left behind by one of the Fairy Battle or Blenheim squadrons that had such a hard time in France in 1940.
Condition is remarkably good with all original paint. I certainly seems to have been looked after.
If anyone has photo of the detonators I'd be interested to see it.
