Who knows what type of air dropped (influence) mines are mend with the following codes :

Hello Antoon,

The codes are standing for the differnet firing-assemblies.
A: magnetic, single-pole induction
B: magnetic, requires two actuations of opposite polarity
C: magnetic, requires random looks
D: acoustic, various sensitivities available
G: combined magnetic-acoustic
J: combined pressure-magnetic
K: acoustic, various sensitivities available (=D)

I have some sketches where the ASY codes are on the mines: B204 was a Mk VIII, K1010 was a Mk VI,...
But as you know, all these mines could be fitted with different firing assemblies, so I wouldn't relate too much on this.

In the M.Dv. Nr. 454 (Marine Dienstvorschrift 454) are some tables wich explain the different firing assemblies and the german names for these assemblies.
