RAF Cosford Museum

Not the sort of place I'd normally visit, but as it was raining and entry was free we gave it a try. The Cold War exhibition is quite interesting, lots of recent missiles to look at, including a complete Thor ballistic missile, a sectioned Polaris warhead and Blue Steel stand off missile. There's also a complete trio of V-Bombers, but the sheer size of some of the exhibits make photography tricky.

I must try and go there. They also have one of only 2 surviving airframes of the TSR-2 ( the other being at IWM Duxford) which is a subject that really gets my blood boiling!!

RAF Cosford has one of the finest displays of aviation artifacts in the world. No junk in the lot. And it's FREE!
