Hi All,
Have just spent a lovely day at Raglan Castle in Monmouthshire South Wales with the family, What a stunning ruin it is, apparently mostly constructed in the mid 1500's but based on the site of an older castle. The Castle withstood a thirteen week siege of before falling to the parliamentary forces in the civil war, found a rather interesting fire place that had by the looks of it taken a direct hit from a canon ball in the great tower. Lots more info on line if interested. Well worth a visit if you are ever in the area, Best regards Weasel.
