Posting this on behalve of a friend , it's a 120mm wombat case that's been perfectly " necked " down to 90mm ( flared out from being fired by all accounts ) any ideas will be greatly appreciated

I don't believe that's a wombat case. I think its a Swedish 90mm KAFT RCL, not very common. It shouldn't be flared at the top, someone has done that to make it more ornamental.
