Refurbish 4.2" HE Mortar round

Hi All,

Had this 4.2" HE mortar round for a while now and always was under the impression it was post-war as it has a stencilled "1962" date on it and the fins are also dated 1960.

But on closer inspection, it appears that the body was made in May 1944 (5'44) - can I have a sanity check here and confirm that the body it is WW2 vintage?
