This is what my newly acquired M26 grenade looks like now that it is finished.

Pretty good Steve! I'm sure a few of us would like to know how you did it.

Very nice, how did it look before it was finished? Was it a case of assembling parts or have you done an amazing restoration job on a relic?

The body came from me. It had about a 3/4" diameter flat spot on the upper hemisphere, but other than that it was a nice one, never loaded or marked though.

It was originally a grenade body with no bottom. I found a cap at Ace hardware sort of like what it would use and smacked it into the bottom. and then painted the grenade and spoon with the closedt color I could mix to the original. Added a M204A1 fuze from a Mk IIA1 grenade I have, and then lettered it with dry transfer letters from Woodland Scenics, gothic lettering and numbers. Then I dullcoated the whole thing and viola, you have the finished product. My next project is an M7A3 gas grenade if I can find the stuff for it.
