Hi to all,
thought this one may be of interest,I presume it is an inspectors round.
Headstamped INSP (+) 99 RG,anvil present but flash holes omitted.
Any ideas on the 'departure' from the normal L3A1 usually found on 7.62mm inspectors rounds?
These may have been produced for the NRA when there was a bit of a furore about target rifles with tight spec. .308 chambers using 7.62mm military spec. ammunition. All a bit of a storm in a tea cup as far as I am aware.
There were also some produced in 2004. See this box.
