Russian 50mm Riot Control 2.jpg9CFAA5D0-2AE7-4CA8-982E-0A0A0C0A4669_1_105_c.jpeg67082A15-E7AE-4282-9798-FF343BBB44EC_1_105_c.jpegThis is an interesting Russian variation ? to my item. It is a GS-50M Long-Range Tear Gas riot control grenade.
Green body with a green cap. Should have a green plastic case per the chart shown (courtesy of hooke1978 on IAA Forum).

My example has black tail fin and is a Practice grenade so different to your example. Used in the RGS-50 launcher from C. 1980's.

Going by an ammunition manual for the RGS-50M launcher I have, it would seem to be a GS-50PM.

Interesting. I do not know enough about the types , only as per my chart.
Maybe Joe can rotate the projectile and we can see the ID print on the green body from a new photo?

Looking again at the photo, maybe there is no cap? Maybe missing the white cap? It looked like a green cap when I first commented. Lack of ID information?

Cyrilic markings for PRACTICE on both, so black or white tail for practice rounds GS-50PM

GSZ-50 : sound and flash grenade

As MINENAZ16 states, from the colouration and internal construction of the warhead, most likely the GSZ-50 (ГСЗ-50).

The internal construction of the GS-50M (ГС-50М) or GS-50PM (ГС-50ПМ) grenades is completely different.
