Does anyone have any ideas what it is. It has a brass insert in the base as can be seen in the photo's, the 303 inspection round is for size.

The Diameter is 17.44mm at its widest and 79mm long. the photo of the M70 sub cal by minenaz16 looks like our baby if the measurements are the same. Thank you for the help.

As I recall, there were two versions of this. One with a rounded nose and one with a tapered ogive (shown). If I recall correctly one had a spotting charge, the other did not. Which had the charge?

Diam of M70 is 18/19mm and length is 80mm

Thanks EOD for the diagrams, Looks as if I have the one without the spotting charge, but did come with a tracer, I have used a different micrometer and yes it shows 18.64mm diam and 80.13 long. Now need to find a case for it maybe??.
