REMEMBERING Kevan (Kev) Hinson (5 Sep 1966 - 15 Feb 2016) - I find it hard to believe it's been 10 years since his passing...
Many on here will remember Kev. He was a lovely friendly fella with a good sense of humour, as his cheeky smile reflected. He was suddenly taken ill and died way too soon, aged just 49.
Kev often posted on here and was very generous sharing his thoughts and research, mostly about the SD2.
Kev and I were simultaneously both writing books about the SD2 (Kev's was more a worldwide study, my book is mainly about its usage against Britain). We both messaged each other and shared info, debating and working out the many puzzles behind these weapons and their deployment.
[By way of an update, after 15 years (!), my research in UK (national and local), German, Russian and American archives is almost complete and I will shortly be starting putting it all together. I will post a publication date on this forum when I know it.]
I know that Kev would have loved the stories and detail that I've uncovered and I am including a small tribute to Kev at the start of the book.
RIP Kev - I know you'll like the book!
