Ripleys Believe it or not WW1 German Sumbarine Deck Gun Round

I recently took the kids to the Ripleys Believe it or Not Museum in Branson Mo. and they displayed what they claimed was a cartridge from the German WW1 Sub UC5.
I know nothing about subs and googled the UC5 - Wikipedia says nothing about a deck gun on it. So I'm thinking it's a NOT!
Sorry for the poor photos (it was behind glass and I couldn't get a clear angle shot) but are there any sub experts who can comment on its authenticity?
It looked to be in the 45-57mm range in diameter, maybe 18 inches long or so. If not from the UC5 maybe another submarine?

Well the rack thing might have come from a German sub, but the round displayed in it is a British 2pdr
