I could not find many photos of the Russian AP round for the 45mm, so I thought I would post of my latest addition showing some of the markings. This example retains some evidence of the original paint/ink markings. It looks to me like the original finish was simply bare metal.
I have attached a photo showing BR-240 AP 45mm projectiles with break off grooves and without. It is interesting to note the driving bands on the models without grooves show the same line from manufacture. I have noticed this in other Russian projectiles - like my 122mm AP.
