This style of fuze is also used on the OG-7 HE Rocket for the RPG-7. The OG-7 is basically a pipe filled with explosive with a tail fin. The pipe body has a PD fuse in the nose and is the same diameter as the motor section.
The M-5A was made of Aluminum (by Russia/USSR). The M-6 also exists in aluminum but to my knowledge never was made by Russia/USSR. Those aluminum ones I had seen so far were made by Albania and Bulgaria.
