That would be 2012 or before. I've only ever seen two of these so they certainly didn't flood the market.
I've got one of these repros. I bought it from Soldier of Fortune (I think) at a show in probably around 2008 ish. I think I paid somewhere around £20 to £30. In those days I was not prepared to pay the extra for a real one. I cleaned off the massive amount of rust that was on it, varnished it and painted the markings on.
I showed it to some friends last weekend and they were convinced it was original, though the No23 rods did not fit the base plug.
Not knowing whether it was or not I bought repro internal parts to complete it. They don't fit! The threads are completely wrong.
The reason being they are metric. The rod thread is an M6 and the base plug an M30 x 1.5mm.
I've got an M30 x 1.5mm die coming from aliexpress which I will try to re-thread the repro centrepiece to, to get it to fit. I suspect though I'm going to have to get a tap as well as the threads inside the body don't go far enough in.
I'm also going to make a rod for it, tapped to M6 as I have a repro launcher for my SMLE.
BTW, the filler plug will not turn at all and is completely seized somehow.
(Note I am a re-enactor... so the target audience for these... I'm not overly upset that it's a repro/fake)
