Russian TM-41 Anti Tank Mine

Just got hold of a pair of these ,this one (the worst of the pair )is going to be sectioned , the other will be cleaned up and a few holes filled .It may take a week or two !

So after 48 hours in Hammerite Rust Remover and 15 minutes with the angle grinder ,the mines now ready for some filler,some original paint still inside which I will try to keep

Does anyone have an image of the original markings found on these mines the only example ive found is the attached line drawing, and i dont know if its right or wrong ,i was expecting to see russian (cyrilic ?) style writing

Looks correct. Could be and so long marking, because standard: plant-party-year appeared not in the same time when started to produce any munition and mines also.
Style of letters can be different. I sow original marking on mine PMZ-40, what looks like from old book about legends of Robin Hood

Got the top and bottom filled and primed ,still needs a little bit more rubbing down and then on with the sides ,a long process but it seems to work

,Holes now filled ,most of the dents taken out ,I don't think the handle could have ever been straight and level ?

I know Allan iam slacking ,been busy with work ,its cold , got to spray outside ,all the usual excuses

Just got it sprayed grey ,still got to paint the dummy charge ,the edges , stencils and then dirty it down a bit, but off for 2 weeks at Christmas so maybe finished for the New Year

Nearly finished,got to wait for the paint to harden before dirtying it down a little.Quite pleased how it's turned out,as I've never filled tinplate over such big areas .Thanks to Spotter for the advice and stencils

Just finished the second TM-41 ,a lot of time ,super glue and wire wool went into these 2 but there not very common

wow they are unrecogniseable as the rusty lumps you started out with
