Two pieces of rusty iron I bought at War & Peace, but what are they?

The one on the left (with a bit missing) is 147mm diameter, 35mm deep; threaded part 111mm diameter, 20mm deep; weight 2.9kg

The other one (with rounded top and 2 holes) is 119mm diameter, 50mm deep; threaded part 95mm diameter, 34mm deep; weight 2.75kg.

bodem plates !

i gues this are botom plates for shrapnell shells the bodem plates opend up after a particular flight time and relased the shrapnell balls inside !
like for the german 9 cm ww1 shell pic are attached left and right hand side shells
i gues your plates will be for shells with a bigger kaliber than 9 cm because of the weight
