S in Oval MK II

I was looking at Lynn's listing of manufacturers and his S in an oval doesn't have a manufacturer. I was wondering if anyone found this one yet?

Joe, is the S marking on a Zamak (zinc alloy) component or is it on cast iron - like an old MkII grenade body?

Sorry ... I guess I should have added that. This is on the body of a MK II Grenade.
