Nice find,
some time ago I have seen this engine made into a table. With just a glass round tabletop.

Is that the first stage motor or second stage?

I would say second stage, as first stage engine usually remains in the body stabbed in the ground.

First stage (starting booster) is solid propellant motor.

I rumbled trough my archive and found photos from 1999. one with the first stage, and one with fuel tank.
